BTAE: Station Blu Travel
Blouin Tardif Architecture – Environnement (BTAE) have completed a contemporary resort Station Blu. This resort has a simple architecture and environmentally friendly was build in Charlevoix region, French.
Designer’s description:
Located on the outskirts of the Charlevoix region, this resort features a restaurant, steam bath, sauna, massage areas, hot and cold pools and a multitude of recreational areas. These functions are spread across three pavilions built around a development bordering the river. The challenge was mainly to highlight nature and integrate the functions through a simple architecture, contemporary and environmentally friendly.
Unifying the entire project, the building envelope is made with a coating of black stained wood. Various profiles used allow more random texture, referring to vernacular buildings.
